About me
Shemora Sheikh is a wholistic bellydance instructor. It was a weekly
tradition for the women in her community to get together and bellydance.
From high school to present Shemora Sheikh continued her love for
bellydance through formal classes. In 2015, she formed Pink Moon
Bellydance, a dance company which centers body positivity, connection,
and cultural tradition. In addition to performing & teaching bellydance
classes, she is the director of Rites of Passage Institute which focuses
on women's wellness through ancient wisdom. As a henna artist, birth
worker and author, she brings a wholistic healing approach to
bellydance.
With a B.S. Degree in Sociology, much of her early career is in K-12
education. She lives in North Carolina with her zawj where they
homeschool their starseeds and drink tea around the firepit! .
