Embodied Power: Yoga as a Practice of Social Change
Our culture influences how we breathe, perform, and respond. Those patterns settle in the body and are repeated through the systems we participate in every day. The wellness industry cannot remain passive inside that reality, and neither can those of us who practice within it.
In this circle, we’ll explore how cultural conditioning and power show up in the body, examine structures of dominance and embodied power, and consider how resilience can remain steady without becoming rigid.
If you believe yoga practices should deepen discernment, integrity, and embodied leadership, this space is for you.

Born in Colorado and raised in the south, Shakira’s practice offers embodied movement that becomes a conversation, allowing the body to reveal its own intelligence. She is devoted to helping people reconnect with their inner wisdom through breath, stillness and self inquiry.
